About ShireWood Press
ShireWood Press is a small independent publisher owned and operated by author Morgan Elizabeth Huneke. Our goal at ShireWood is to provide quality content that honors God and strives to further His Kingdom. We focus primarily on speculative fiction, but also include other genres such as poetry.
Why "ShireWood"?
No, it is not a pun on Sherwood. For many years, the Huneke family resided on a street called Berkshire. After discovering The Lord of the Rings, Morgan and her sisters enjoyed joking that they lived in the Shire, prompting them to use the name "Shire" for blogs and home businesses. In 2015, the family moved to a wooded subdivision, to a street called Woods. The two residences combined, creating ShireWood.
